Dress to Impress...

Well, this is gonna be a 2 night saga because I have two stories to tell you. We'll start last night ::Cue Flashback::

I get an EXP party fairly early after logging on. A pleasant surprise for sure. I accept, and we head to the Puk camp at the southernmost point of Wajoam Woodlands. The party goes great for 3+ hours, and we eventually disband. I go AFK to read something (Thinking I had Warp Cudgels on me...), and come back to see the last few members (Gizzmo and Alaska) Teleporting out. I go to equip one of my 3 cudgels, only to realize that they have all been used in the last 16 hours ; ;. "Fine, i'll walk." i say to myself.

Timwakefield uses a Silent Oil.
Timwakefield realizes he doesnt have any Prism Powder on him.
Timwakefield panics.

Grrrreat. We'll i'm close to Mamook, maybe i can run from here to the Staging Point there without dying. WRONG! First Puk I see aggro's me, and I am left eating dirt ; ;

Back to today... I log on in the afternoon to do my usual Guild Point/Chocobo Raising routine (BTW, my Chocobo hates my guts. I feed and play with that spoiled little brat every day, and he won't even acknowledge my presence. And I can't seem to get the item for the whistle, ever).
A fellow Vana 'dielian sends me a tell asking if I can help him kill the leeches in Korroloka for the Ninja quest. Sure, I'm not busy. Me and this fellow (I think his name was Evie, but I can't quite remember...) head to the Tunnel, while the Leeches prepare for the beatdown of a lifetime.

As we arrive at the ??? spot where I am preparing to open up a can of whoop-ass, I say to myself "Oh I'm gonna save all my TP up and unleash a Howling Fist for the ages to impress this guy". He pops the Leeches, carnage insues. Evie was almost into the Yellow by the time I annihilated the first Leech. This is when I realized I wasn't sure what I had gotten myself into. Leech #2 winked at me, so I Berserked and pounded his face into the ground. "Now is the time" I thought to myself as my TP neared 175. "Prepare to feel the WRATH!!!"

The Whatever-the-hell-its-called Leech uses TP-Drainkiss or whatever its called.

NOOO! All my work. All I wanted to do was show-off for this level 30 Thief, and I didn't even get to do it. My day was ruined. Maybe next time...
